an economical and comfortable way to discover all or selected regions of
Australia.
All
passes are valid for travel in Economy/Red Kangaroo seating and need to
be pre booked.

flexi pass
The Austrail Flexi Pass is the ideal way to experience Australia within
a designated time frame. Austrail flexi pass gives you the flexibility
of travelling 8, 15, 21 or 29 Days with in a 6 month validity period.
- The
Austrail Flexi pass is the big one which is available for travel on
rail services operated by Great Southern Railway, Queensland Rail and
CountryLink. The Pass is not available for travel on any Queensland
Rail city train service, however is available for use on the Kuranda
Scenic Railway, The Gulflander and the Savannahlander. This pass can
be used on all cityrail services operated by New South Wales Sate Rail
- The
Austrail Flexi pass is valid for unlimited travel in economy/Red
Kanagaroo Daynighter seats, for the applicable flexi days purchased,
over a six month period

Passes are for travel in Economy Seats / Red Kangaroo Daynighter Seats
and are valid for 6 months

National passes are only available to international visitors and
should be purchased before arrival into Australia.

Payment for all Passes can be made to Terra Mater Expediçõe (a Rail
Australia Agent) A voucher will be issued for passes not held and this
should be exchanged at a major rail station in the relevant state
within Australia.

Upgrading is permitted (additional surcharges apply)
- A
travel day is a period of 24 hours or less, from the scheduled
departure time of a service eg. An overnight trip 2100/0900 is
recorded as one day.
- Unused
passes may receive a refund - validated or lost passes are
non-refundable with the exception of the Great Southern Railway pass
this will incur a $150.00 reissue fee.
- Great
Southern Railway have a NO SHOW fee of $50.00 if you book a sector and
do not travel on the day without previously advising Great Southern
Railway
- Great
Southern Railway pass is only available to holders of foreign (non
Australian) passports.
- 8 Day
Flexi pass not available for travel between Adelaide - Perth, Adelaide
- Alice Springs, Sydney - Alice Springs and Melbourne - Alice Springs
or vice versa.
- East
Coast Discovery pass is not available for travel on any suburban or
interurban service.
- East
Coast Discovery Pass is only available to Overseas Visitors with the
exception of Brisbane - Cairns, Melbourne - Cairns, and Sydney -
Cairns which are also available to domestic travellers.
- All

- Pre
booking as early as possible is recommended to ensure that maximum
value is obtained from the Pass - many trains are heavily patronised
year round or seasonally. Great Southern Railway requires pre booking
for all trains at least 24 hours prior to travel.
